Saudi wedding at Villa Erba – Lake Como – Italy (H & M’s wedding)

This wedding at Villa Erba, lake Como was more than a celebration—it was a story told in light, texture, and tradition. When I design, I don’t just think about how things look—I think about how they feel, what they say, and how they bring people closer. For me, heritage isn’t something to display—it’s something to live. It’s not aesthetic, it’s language. From the very beginning, the vision was clear: to create a space where cultures didn’t just blend, but resonated. Where every detail has a meaning. Where beauty wasn’t just seen—it was felt. A symphony of spring elegance set the tone for the Zaffeh of our radiant bride H. Soft tones of light green and pastel hues danced through the space, echoing the freshness of the season and the serenity of the lake. The mirrored water-green aisle shimmered like the surface of Lake Como itself—fluid, luminous, alive. And then came her entrance: an emerald coach, lush with roses, peonies, and hydrangeas, gliding through the celebration like out of a dream. It wasn’t just beautiful—it was cinematic. Ethereal. Unforgettable. The chandelier didn’t just sparkle—it honored the grandeur of old-world Italian elegance. The frescoes didn’t just decorate—they whispered stories of history, of place, of memory. The long table wasn’t just styled—it was set with intention, inviting guests to gather, to share, to belong. This wasn’t about creating a fusion. It was about creating a dialogue. A space where identity could be both honored and shared. Where tradition wasn’t frozen in time, but brought to life—fluid, evolving, and deeply personal. Because when design becomes a language, identity doesn’t get lost—it gets celebrated And when that happens—when every element speaks, when every choice connects—that’s when a wedding becomes something more. That’s when it becomes a memory that lives on. Imene HANAFI
